Free Internet access in Makati coffee shops

I'm glad that doing business in Makati has now become easier as most spots in the area now offers free Internet access. This includes:
  • Gloria Jeans
I normally have meetings at their Greenbelt 3 branch. If you have an E-YellowPages account, you'll be able to access the Internet at their coffee shops for free.

  • Krispy Kreme
There is one in Glorietta 4. One thing I like about this place is the easy access to power outlets. Compared to the Bonifacio High Street branch, Internet connection here is much more stable to. However, this is only good for quick stops, unless you have a companion, as going to the rest room will require you to leave the place.

  • Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
I like the Residences (infront of Greenbelt 2) branch as it is more cozy and less people too. If you have a Swirl card, you can use the Internet for free and rack up some points. If you have an Enjoy Philippines card, you can also upsize your drink.

Do you know of other coffee shops in Makati that offers free Internet access? Post a comment with their location info so we can check it out.

Free Internet access & function room use at Le Bistro Makati City

Last November 17, I catched up with several bloggers to learn about the Philippine coffee products and its business potential from Chit Juan. The venue for the said event was at Le Bistro, Frazer Place, Valero Street, Makati City.

(arrabiata, malunggay chicken pesto, fish burger, & mushroom burger)

I liked the place and the food so much that it became my first choice when planning for our annual Christmas party. Glad that the booking was made early and can't wait to catch up with peers on the 17th.

They have a function room at the 2nd floor which can be used for such purpose. LCD projector and Internet access can be used for free. That is a great treat for folks who are into organizing small training events, press conference, and parties.

I suggest budgeting around P300 to P700 per pax when booking an event at their facilities. There are no room fees to worry about as well as food consumption is all that is required while you are there.

For further inquiries about Le Bistro, you can call Angelo Torres at +632-4031841.

Makati Lunch at Museum Cafe

We had lunch yesterday at Museum Cafe, Ayala Museum, Greenbelt 4. We had a workshop session in a nearby Internet cafe and was yearning to have a lunch experience that one can only have in Makati.
The first that came to mind that is most accessible is Museum Cafe. The place immediately has an ambiance of being a high end spot.
As we are all seem to be on a diet, our lunch is not your usual gastronomic galore. We ordered:
  • Sesame dilis noodles - P300.00
  • Pad Thai -P295.00
  • Pumpkin soup - P195.00
  • Jackfruit Sanzrival - P201.60
  • Sugar-free carrot cake - P240.00
  • Calming tea - P120.00
  • Energizing tea - P120.00
  • Healing tea - P120.00

Our total bill reached P1,748.82.

Our friend Dr. Leo Fuentes from Dagupan finished his sesame dilis so we assumed it was good. One thing that caught our attention as well was the tea service and even took a video of it.

video

Tina's observation: The Pad Thai is comparable to its authentic version. Service was fast and efficient. Friendly staff.

Janette's observation: The jackfruit sanzrival was delicious. Yun lang.

I think the place is an interesting spot to hang-out and have a meeting. If you are not into an eating fanfare, then the place is just right.
